It was bought in 1987 and -amongst others- lived a while some time in the Ciutadella Park. The cat moved at least four times, maybe that’s why he looks a bit tired maybe?

The sculpture is a large and fat cat, built in bronze. It weighs more than 2 tons and measures 7 meters long by 2.50 meters high, not a cat that is easily bypassed. The design lines clearly follow the round and voluptuous style of the famous painter and sculptor Fernando Botero.

According to the urban legend -and mandatory to try- you will visit Barcelona again in the future if… you touch his balls.
