The Fran Daurel Foundation is mainly dedicated to catalan contemporary art and is located in the Pueblo Seco Quarter, within the Spanish Village.
Opened in December 2001, it is created thanks to the private collection Fran Daurel, founder and president of the foundations Fran Daurel and Amyc ("Modern and contemporary art". The museum
has an area of 2,500 square meters and with more than 300 works of artists like Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí, Antoni Tapiès or Miquel Barceló.
The latest enlargement of the Fran Daurel Foundation is the sculpture garden, which is accessed through the door of Montblanc.
The garden has 3,500 square meters that houses new works and make it a green area where 27 sculptures of 20 contemporary artists make up the landscape.
The objective of the Foundation is to offer a global vision of contemporary art through a single exhibition, so that the visitor can take advantage of his visit to
the Spanish Village and thus know the great artists of the mordernidad.
