This impressive spectacle of light, water and music was created in 1929 for the Second World Exposition that took place in Barcelona (the first took place in 1888). In the beginning people though of it as silly, but to the day of today it attracts many visitors!
At a pace of 2.600 litres per second and with 4.760 light bulbs in many colors, the playing fountain leaves you speechless.
The show takes place in front of the Montjuïc's Palace: The MNAC, near
the Spain Square, and starts in the late afternoon where every
30 minutes you can enjoy a different show.
