The Museum is located in the heart of the city, in an alley down the Las Ramblas of Barcelona on the left: the Bank Passage.

The building of the Museum is in a grand neoclassical mansion of 1867 created for the Bank of Barcelona. It was not until 1973 that the architect and also the stage designer Enrique Alarcón decided to undertake the project and transform it into the Wax Museum. For his construction he chose materials such as marble, wood, steel and glass, among others.

In the recital hall we will find the most outstanding figures in the world of music, literature, political characters and kings. In the Passage of terror you will be able to see the most important assassins of history and other films of fear. Do not scare you with the guillotine that is occasionally dropped and cut your neck to a character.

One of curiosity about the building: it still has one of the vaults (you will see it, of course, with Bonnie and Clyde at its side) of the bank that housed…. The funny thing is that it could never be opened and it continues like this!

When you leave the museum you will find two curious cafes: “El Bosc de les Fades” and “El Pasaje del Tiempo”. Undoubtedly avant-garde spaces and gnomes that you should not miss.
