Grącia was born in the center of the plain of Barcelona, around the old road that led from Barcelona to Sant Cugat city (today the Gran de Grącia street). Its name was born in 1626 thanks to the church dedicated to the Madre de Dios de la Anunciación Plena
de Grącia, the convent of San Jose and, in this way, the name of the “Camķ o camino de Grącia” was first given, subsequently to the name of the neighborhood.
