The beach itself is not exceptionally large (only 400 meters long and 79 meters wide), although it is the preferred beach for tourists and city visitors. It should be, as the National Geographic magazine named it the "best urban beach in the world".

Located just after the San Sebastian's Beach, this area is much more than sand, water and beach bars. Here we find two of the most striking sculptures in the Barceloneta Quarter: the "Wounded Star" and the "Room where it always rains".
