This is one of the gardens in Montjuïc, that together with those of Mossen Cinto Verdaguer, Joan Brossa's Gardens and Joan Maragall's Gardens, were dedicated to Catalan poets.

It’s one of the best themed gardens of the city. The garden covers an area of 6.5 hectares and holds the most important collection cactus of the city, one of the leading of Catalunya and probably one of the largest in the world. This park exists since 1970.

It includes both the set of species and the variety of geographical origins of the plants, as well as the particular conditions in which they live given their orientation in the mountain of Montjuïc and within the micro-climate of the city. Conditions similar to their native habitat, since the vast majority of specimens are from countries in tropical, subtropical and desert areas.
